Taddi a Romi (First day marriage visits)

The Taddie is made from natural cotton and chiffon, hand-embroidered, and inspired by the traditional bride's dress from Siwa Oasis. Historically, married women wore this piece during family visits. Today, Taddie production is nearly extinct, and this piece is approximately 40 years old. The hand embroidery takes about 6 months to complete. It features important traditional symbols such as the fish, symbolizing fertility, the spider for protection against black magic, and the Khamsa (hand) for warding off envy.  The embroidery colours are inspired by the stages of date ripening, including green, yellow, red, burgundy, brown, and black.  Size: Free  Material: Cotton and Chiffon  Care: Dry clean only, as colors may bleed
